Visual Journaling
Visual Journaling
Visual Journaling is a fun messy experience using mixed media materials. This process is a place to gently and spontaneously play with creativity and intuition by scribbling, tearing, smearing, and splashing with paint, collage, ink, fabric, and oil pastel.
With color, shape, images, words, and textures, we activate the playful right side of the brain. This fully guided process is a gently messy way to spontaneously invite imaginal curiosity where we find hidden messages from our subconscious.
These undercurrent messages inform our daily actions. Witnessing and identifying these undercurrents gives us agency and authority in making decisions through our daily life, helping us to become the author of our own story.
Validating exactly who we are can unfold depth of meaning and possibility. The feeling of possibility is the opposite of overwhelm and a welcome respite from depression and anxiety as well as a gorgeous way to process grief.
Many of us could use a more hope inducing frolic!
